Our Earth is surrounded with beautiful physical features
Our Earth is called a blue planet covering large mass of area with water. It is important for us to understand the difference between a strait, isthamus, lake, peninsula,gulf and islands. Geographically they all have a definition depending on their formation and the manner in which they are surrounded with water. Most of the landmass (continents/sub-continents) are surrounded with water or are connected with narrow stretch of water or narrow stretch of land joining two continent's.
To help students understand this difference they did a small activity using a paper plate as land and blue paint as water.
